S.U. celebrates African American History Month with soul food dinner

In celebration of African American History month, Salisbury University put on their annual Soul Food Dinner Friday evening.
This year, they had quite the pairing of great food and great music.
There was deep-fried catfish, barbecued ribs, southern fried chicken and sweet potato pie. S.U. also brought in the Bernard Sweetney Jazz Quartet.
It was a packed house filled with students and community members.
One local tells 47 ABC, "I've been coming every year, I come because I like the food but I don't like to cook."
While another attendee says, "I think it's great that we can all come together in fellowship as well as eat. I look forward to it every year, the food is always wonderful."
The jazz quartet performance was sponsored by the Offices of Cultural Affairs and Multicultural Student Services and University Dining Services.
