Police: Wanted woman arrested after shoplifting from Milford Walmart

Milford Police say they arrested a shoplifting suspect on Friday who was wanted in both Kent and Sussex Counties.

At around 1:48 PM, officers responded to the Milford Walmart on reports of a shoplifting with the suspect fleeing the scene. Police apprehended 37-year-old Amber Manchester of Milford close by near North DuPont Boulevard.

Manchester was reportedly in possession of several items from the Walmart that had been taken without being paid for. Additionally, police say they found drug paraphernalia in Manchester's possession.

After police took Manchester into custody, they learned from a check through the Delaware Criminal Justice System that she was wanted by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas, the Kent County Superior Court and the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.

Manchester is charged with shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia and has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of bail.
