Police looking for suspect in Ellendale Dollar General armed robbery

Delaware State Police are looking for a suspect in the Sunday night armed robbery of the Dollar General in Ellendale.

At around 7:43 PM, police say a male suspect armed with a handgun entered the store on 18036 Beach Highway. The man demanded cash, then jumped over the counter and grabbed the cash himself, police said.

No one was injured and the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect was wearing dark clothing and had his face covered. No other description is available at this time.
