Police: Ellendale woman charged with ID theft after using someone else’s SSN

Milford Police say they took an Ellendale woman into custody for improperly using another person's social security number.

45-year-old Ruth D. Mendez-Sazo reportedly used someone else's social security number for purposes of getting a job at a Milford business.

Milford Police arrested Mendez-Sazo without incident at her job last Friday on South Washington Street.

She is charged with identity theft and second degree forgery. Mendez-Sazo's bail was set at $3,000 unsecured.

Her preliminary hearing at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas is set for Friday.
