Man wanted for Ellendale thefts arrested in New York

A man wanted in Delaware for burglary and theft charges has been apprehended in New York, the Ellendale Police Department says.
Daniel M. Dittmar, 34, was arrested Friday evening by the Suffolk County Police Department for second degree aggravated harassment. Police say detainers have been filed on Dittmar and he is pending extradition back to Delaware.
He is wanted by Ellendale Police for third degree burglary, theft greater than $1,500, theft under $1,500 where a victim is aged 62 or older, theft under $1,500, second degree conspiracy and criminal mischief under $1,000 damage.
Dittmar is additionally wanted by both Delaware State Police and the Milford City Police Department on burglary and theft charges.
As of Friday evening, officials say Dittmar was being detained in the Suffolk County Detention Center in New York.
