Heroin and cocaine reportedly found in Salisbury man’s underwear

A Salisbury man was arrested Wednesday for possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to distribute, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said.
At around 1:53 Wednesday afternoon, a deputy observed a vehicle make an improper turn and initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of Buena Vista Avenue.
During the stop, the deputy observed several details that raised suspicions that the driver, 30-year-old Dean A. Grant Jr., was involved in illegal activity.
A Wicomico County Sheriff's Office drug K9 team was called in to conduct a scan of the car. Police say the dog picked up the odor of illegal drugs.
When deputies attempted to search Grant, he reportedly pushed the officers away and resisted being restrained in handcuffs.
Deputies say they recovered a large plastic bag full of cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin that Grant was hiding in his underwear. The different drugs were individually wrapped in smaller baggies inside the large bag.
Based on the volume of drugs, Grant was charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Grant was transferred to the Wicomico County Detention Center where he is being held without bond pending a bond review in District Court, officials said.
