Drive-by shooting in Salisbury injures one

Salisbury Police say they are investigating a Tuesday night shooting that sent one man to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

At 9:30 PM, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Maryland Avenue.

Police say witnesses saw a vehicle drive by and heard gunshots. A 20-year-old man was struck by gunfire from the vehicle.

The man was reportedly hit in his lower extremities and was able to flee from where he was standing. Police report the vehicle also left the area.

The victim was treated at Peninsula Regional Medical Center and released.
