The Dover Police Department says they have made an arrest in connection to the February 7th shooting of 42-year-old man on South New Street.

Over the course of their investigation, the Criminal Investigation Unit developed 18-year-old Gregory Scott as a suspect in the case. On Friday, officers say they observed Scott walking in the area of South New Street and reportedly arrested him without incident.

Scott is charged with attempted first degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and two counts of reckless endangering. Officials say Scott was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $172,000 cash bond.

The victim in the February 7th shooting had reportedly driven himself to Kent General Hospital after being shot that evening. He was treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.
