Bennett falls to Atholton in 3A Sectional Quarterfinal

Despite a game-high 26 points from big man Harold Morton, the Bennett Clippers fell 67-63 to the Atholton Raiders in the opening round of the 3A state playoffs.

Otis Russell finished with 11 points for the Clippers, while Montaze Jefferson added 10. For Atholton, Jasen Parkins had 18, while Sean Washington finished with 11, with 6 coming in the overtime period.

Atholton will go on to face top-ranked Stephen Decatur in the 3A East Section II semifinal on Tuesday.
