UPDATE: Route 1 back open in Delaware

Officials say that Route 1 between Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach is now open in both directions, northbound and southbound.

Delaware Department of Transportation officials say that there is some water on some sections of the road, so they urge motorists to drive with caution.

Route 1 southbound was reopened early Tuesday morning. Both northbound and southbound routes closed on Monday evening because of weather conditions.
