UPDATE: Police respond to hundreds of crashes in Virginia amid weather conditions

Virginia State Police say that between midnight on Saturday and six p.m on Sunday evening, they have responded to 772 crashes.

They have also assisted more than 1,200 disabled cars statewide, and nearly 4,000 calls for services. On the chesapeake, police responded to one-hundred and sixty-two crashes, and 500 twenty disabled cars.

Now police say since temperatures are below freezing — it can cause bad road conditions. So — people are advised to stay home tonight and delay travel in the morning.
