Two arrested in Dover New Year’s robberies; one teen still wanted

Dover Police say they arrested two suspects and are searching for a third in connection to two armed robberies that happened within 12 hours on New Year's Day.
Police say the first robbery happened shortly before 3:15 AM when four suspects, one wielding a handgun, stole money and an ID from three victims sitting outside an apartment building in Country Village Apartments in Dover.
The second robbery reportedly happened at around 3:10 PM when police responded to an incident in the 300 block of Martin Street. Three suspects allegedly stole a backpack, cellphone, wallet, headphones and a pocket knife from two victims.
Police were told that one suspect was armed with a revolver and that they fled in a red SUV with "2000" written on the driver's side window.
Officers say they soon found the SUV near the Dover Mall. While trying to pull the vehicle over, police say the SUV crashed into a light pole and fence near Cedar Chase Apartments.
The driver and front passenger both tried to run away from the scene, but police were able to chase down and arrest 19-year-old Alexis Williams of Dover.
Police identify Rahiem Jackson, 18, of Camden, Del. as the driver. He is still wanted.
The stolen headphones from the Martin Street robbery were reportedly found in the SUV.
The owner of the SUV, 18-year-old Antoine McDonald of Dover, was also arrested when the investigation linked him as a suspect in the early-morning robbery.
Williams and McDonald are charged with two counts of first degree robbery, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and second degree conspiracy. McDonald is additionally charged with tampering with physical evidence while Williams is charged with resisting arrest.
McDonald is being held on $92,000 bond and Williams is held on $93,000 bond.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing and encourage anyone with information to call the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7130 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
