Trial postponed for Wicomico County murder suspect

A trial has been postponed for a man accused of murder in Wicomico County.

The trial for 21-year-old Daquan Dickerson has been pushed back to June 5-9 in Wicomico County Circuit Court. Dickerson was in court on Thursday morning for a criminal motions hearing. His trial was previously set for March; however the trial was pushed back to give the defense more time to prepare.

Dickerson is charged in connection with the murder of Keonte Gaskins that happened on May 22, 2016. Investigators believe that it was Dickerson who filed the deadly shot. Gaskins body was found in a stairwell at the Village of Mitchell Pond Apartment Complex the following morning.
