Three arrested in Dover with heroin, alprazolam and stolen gun

Dover Police say three people were arrested on Wednesday as the result of a drug investigation involving several law enforcement agencies.

Authorities executed several search warrants in the downtown area and arrested Robert Jordan, 39, and Latroy Hopkins, 46, both of Dover.

Police say Jordan had a stolen .40 caliber handgun, ammo, two bags of heroin and drug paraphernalia and Hopkins was in possession of 20 Alprazolam (Xanax) pills and drug paraphernalia.

Officers report that while on the scene, they arrested 27-year-old Devon Cannon of Smyrna, who allegedly was in possession of 1,782 bags of heroin.

Cannon is charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $100,500 cash bond.

Jordan is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a person prohibited, receiving a stolen firearm, possession of heroin, possession of a firearm while possessing heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He too was committed to JTVCC. His bond was set at $38,000 secured, police said.

Hopkins faces charges related to her Alprazolam possession and was released on a bond of $4,500 unsecured.
