Sudlersville man arrested on drug and weapons charges

Deputies say a man has been arrested on drug and weapons charges in Queen Anne's County.
Detectives investigating thefts from cars in the Sudlersville/Barclay area served a search warrant at a home on Duhamel Corner Road near Sudlersville on September 22, 2016, and discovered a small lab to manufacture methamphetamine.
Evidence found that the resident was 37-year-old Harley Duarte of Sudlersville who was not at the home and fled the area.
Duarte was arrested last week in Philadelphia and waived extradition. On January 25, deputies went to Philadelphia and returned him to Queen Anne's County. When Duarte returned, he was served a violation of probation warrant, and a second warrant with charges including 12 counts of manufacturing meth, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of firearms while a felon, controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, and illegal possession of ammo by a felon.
Duarte was on probation after serving 18 months of a 10 year sentence for theft scheme $1,000 to $10,000.
