Shelters offering a warm place in anticipation of cold weekend

Forecasts are showing possible snow on Delmarva Thursday night as well as Saturday and there are many folks out there who might not have a place to stay during these bone chilling conditions. But many shelters are opening their doors.

The Samaritan Shelter in Pocomoke City is open 24 hours, they just ask that you call ahead to ensure there is enough space.

Diakonia in Ocean City is also open and they coordinate with Worcester and Wicomico shelters to ensure that everyone has a place to stay.

Another shelter open is HALO in Salisbury. Their hours are 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM.

A few churches in Delaware that are accepting folks include the Avenue Methodist Church in Milford, Gateway Fellowship in Bridgeville for women and children and St. Lukes in Seaford for men.
