Search warrant leads to drug, firearms bust in Cambridge

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says they charged a Cambridge man on Thursday after finding drugs and weapons during a search warrant execution.

Police, with the assistance of the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force, carried out the warrant at a residence on Phillips Street where they say they found 30-year-old Rymarr Tyquan Rideout in direct possession of 34 capsules of heroin and fentanyl.

Officers also reportedly found 13.3 grams of heroin laced with fentanyl, a scale, several small baggies of marijuana and synthetic marijuana, a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and ammo for both weapons.

Rideout is charged with possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime and multiple other drug and firearm charges.

He is being held without bond, officials said.
