Resident helps police locate Georgetown burglary suspect

A good Samaritan is being credited with helping police take down a burglary suspect in Georgetown.
On Wednesday Georgetown Police said they were called to North Railroad Avenue for reports of a burglary in progress. A good Samaritan reportedly followed the burglary suspect as he fled the area and was able to provide responding officers with the suspect location.
That suspect was later identified as 56-year-old Keith Cannon, of Georgetown. Officers say he was taken into custody without incident and was found with stolen property from another reported burglary. Investigators were able to link Cannon to multiple burglaries that occurred over the past several weeks.
Cannon has been charged with a number of burglary offenses and is being held on $29,500 bond.
