Rajsich, Qualls head Shorebirds’ Hot Stove Banquet

The Delmarva Shorebirds held their 16th annual "Hot Stove" banquet on Thursday night at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury.
Among the guest were Orioles director of scouting Gary Rajsich, director of minor league operations Kent Qualls, and Pat Filippone, President of 7th Inning Stretch, the group that owns the Shorebirds.
Before they spoke, Delmarva General Manager Chris Bitters made notice of some new features that will be in Arthur W. Perdue Stadium come this spring/summer. The Shorebirds have torn out the old green seats, and replaced them with newer versions, including seats with cushion in the first two rows of the field box seating. The most noticable feature, will be the new video board that will appear in right-field, replacing the old-non working board.
Qualls and Rajsich raved about the benefits of having a club on Delmarva, and noted that many of the players that contributed to the Orioles' 2016 playoff run began in Salisbury.
