The first baby delivered at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in 2017 was born early Sunday morning, hospital officials said.

Beethoven Forestal was born at 12:45 AM and weighed in at 7 pounds 13 ounces.

Mom Redeline and Dad Faustin say Beethoven's older siblings Danie and Edson are excited to have a baby brother.

The Junior Auxiliary Board gave Beethoven a basket of clothes, toys and a blanket as a gift to mark his status as first PRMC baby of the new year.

2017 marks the 93rd year of the Junior Auxiliary Board's service to the PRMC. Officials say it has donated more than $8 million to the hospital since 1924.
