Police: Two people taken to Shock Trauma after crash on Bay Bridge

Police say that they are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that happened on the Bay Bridge on Friday evening

According to officials, just before 6 PM a multi-vehicle collision occurred on the westbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Two people were reportedly taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

The eastbound bridge remained open.

Westbound traffic was backed up on Kent Island for several hours before all three lanes reopened later that evening.
