Pain management doctor faces drug charges, has Del. medical license suspended

A doctor who had her Maryland medical license suspended last month has now had her Delaware medical license suspended as well, Delaware officials announced Thursday.
Delaware Secretary of State Jeffrey Bullock and the Delaware Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline cited Dr. Eva C. Dickinson's alleged drug-related criminal activity as the reason for the suspension.
Documents show that Maryland State Police charged Dickinson in November with various drug charges related to growing marijuana and possessing multiple schedule I and schedule II controlled dangerous substances.
Officials say Dickinson, though residing in Caroline County, primarily practiced medicine at Cutting Edge Treatment Center in Harrington, Del. The practice specializes in pain management.
Dickinson previously practiced at Compassionate Pain Management in Dover and Seaford, officials said.
Officials say this suspension in Delaware will last for 60 days while disciplinary hearings will be held or the final disposition for Dickinson will take place. Based on their findings in the hearings, Delaware's Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline can sanction Dickinson further, potentially even revoking her license altogether.
The public can see the status of medical professionals' licensing on the Division of Professional Regulation's website. The signed order suspending Dickinson can be read here.
