One arrested during Harrington shooting investigation

Tiki Smack, 19 of Bridgeville

Troopers in Delaware, say they are currently investigating a shooting Friday night at a house party in Harrington. Which reportedly lead to the arrest of a Bridgeville man for a different shooting last summer.

According to Delaware State Police, around 10:00 PM they were called to a home on the 500 block of Cloverfield Lane for reports of shots being fired. Once on scene troopers say they were met with a large disorderly crowd and immediately called for backup.

During their investigation officials learned that during the party, an altercation occurred at which time two unknown men began shooting. Both suspects then reportedly fled from the party in a vehicle in an unknown direction. Troopers say, several shell casing were located at the scene, however, there were no reports of any injuries, and no weapons were found.

As troopers were continuing their investigation, a 19-year-old Bridgeville man identified as Tiki Smack, arrived at the home. A computer check revealed that Smack was wanted by the Delaware State Police in connection to the shooting of a 19-year-old woman in Felton back in June of 2016.

Smack was arrested and was charged with assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless endangering, and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited. He is being held on a $75,000 secured bail.

The investigation into the shooting at the Cloverfield Lane home is on-going. Anyone with information is asked to call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
