Man charged with theft, burglary posted stolen item on Facebook

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says they arrested a Salisbury man last Thursday for allegedly stealing several items including a rifle and a leaf blower.
A deputy arrested 22-year-old John Kevin Beauchamp II on Thursday night in connection to an investigation on a theft of a .22 rifle from a residence in the 1500 block of Glen Avenue in Salisbury.
Police say Beauchamp was involved in the rifle's theft and then sold the rifle to a buyer who later turned over the gun to police.
During the investigation, police say they learned several more items had been stolen from a shed at the same address, including a leaf blower, a chainsaw and an air conditioner. The victim reported that he saw the stolen air conditioner at Beauchamp's home.
Investigators say they later found that Beauchamp had listed the stolen leaf blower for sale on Facebook.
Beauchamp is charged with second degree burglary, fourth degree burglary, theft $1,000 to $10,000, theft under $100 and conspiracy to commit theft.
Police say he was detained in the county detention center in lieu of $2,500 bond following an initial appearance in front of the District Court Commissioner.
