Indians send Laurel floating down the river in close finish

The Indian River Indians defeated the Laurel Bulldogs 52-40 at home tonight. The win makes the Indians 5-3 on the season, while the loss drops the Bulldogs to 5-3.
It was a close game from the beginning with both teams starting out slow. Leading 20-18 in the first half, the Indians looked to keep the momentum on their side through the remaining two quarters.
To start the second half, the Indians were able to further their lead to four with help from Antonio Jones and Pat Mumford to make it 30-26. In the fourth quarter, Laurel ran into foul trouble allowing the Indians to go twelve for twenty one at the foul line, with Orryin Morris going five for eight , to help the Indians keep their lead and give them the 52-40 home win.
The Indians will look further their win streak on Tuesday the 17th as they take on Woodbridge at home at 5:15. The Bulldogs will try to get back in the win column as they host Seaford on Tuesday the 17th at 4 o'clock.
