Indian River Power Plant industrial accident leaves one dead

Delaware State Police report one man died Tuesday morning as the result of an industrial accident at the Indian River Power Plant in Dagsboro.

Though very early in the investigation, officials say at around 8:10 AM a man fell from the roof of the power plant and succumbed to his injuries.

NRG Energy spokesman David Gaier confirms the man was a contractor, not a company employee. Officials send their condolences.

Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
