Federalsburg robbery suspects to be extradited from Delaware

Maryland State Police say two suspects have been charged for their roles in a Caroline County convenience store armed robbery that happened on January 9th.
The two suspects, 28-year-old Kurtis Jenkins of Seaford, Del. and 26-year-old Tyler Micheliche of Federalsburg, Md. were arrested in Delaware on Sunday by Delaware State Troopers for similar robberies, officials said.
Each suspect is charged with two counts of armed robbery, first degree assault, second degree assault and reckless endangerment. MSP say they have filed detainers on the two with Delaware.
Police say on January 9th they were alerted to an armed robbery shortly after 9:30 PM at a convenience store on Smithville Road in Federalsburg. Both MSP and Caroline County sheriff's deputies responded and learned that two armed and masked suspects stole cash from the store's register.
On Monday MSP say they were alerted by DSP that two suspects were in custody and may be of interest to Maryland authorities. Troopers from Maryland and Delaware met and determined through their investigations that Jenkins and Micheliche were tied to the Federalsburg robbery.
MSP await the suspects' extradition back to Maryland.
