Father and son arrested in Cambridge after narcotics investigation

In addition to Thursday's search warrant drug bust, the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says two search warrant executions in Cambridge on Friday led to the arrests of two men.

The Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force, Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police and Cambridge Police teamed up to carry out two search and seizure warrants, one at a home on Charles Street and the other at an apartment on Crusader Road.

Police say Leroy Sharps, 59, of the Charles Street location and his son Tyuane Johnson, 38, of the Crusader Road apartment were both arrested.

Officers reportedly found a stolen revolver, digital scales, 19.6 grams of marijuana, baggies and numerous cellphones at Sharps' residence. He is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, paraphernalia possession and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. He is being held without bond.

More than $1,000 in cash, nine grams of marijuana, digital scales, multiple cellphones and 43 OxyContin pills were reportedly found at Johnson's residence. He is charged with possession of OxyContin with intent to distribute, possession of OxyContin and possession of paraphernalia. He is additionally being held without bond.
