Dover police, U.S. Marshals capture fugitive wanted for New Year’s robberies

Dover Police say they and members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested a man on Thursday who was wanted in connection to two Dover armed robberies on New Year's Day.
18-year-old Rahiem Jackson was arrested at around 7:45 Thursday evening when officers located him in a Cheswold, Del. residence on New Street, police said.
Jackson reportedly ran from officers as they tried to arrest him, but he was apprehended after a short chase.
Jackson is charged with multiple counts of first degree robbery, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, resisting arrest, traffic violations and possession of marijuana.
Officials say Jackson is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a cash bond of $258,875.
