Dover man charged in connection with several burglaries

Police say that they have arrested a Dover man and charged him in connection with several burglaries that have happened during the past month.
According to Delaware State Police, on Friday, burglary unit detectives arrested 30-year-old Brandon Marshall of Dover at a home on Denny Street in Leipsic without incident.
Detectives had reportedly developed Marshall as a suspect in a series of burglaries that happened at homes on Bayside Drive in Dover and Marshtown Road in Dover during the month of January. During the burglaries, Marshall would reportedly go into sheds or barns on the properties and remove power equipment and tools from inside. Once he obtained the property, police say that he would respond to local pawn shops and pawn the stolen items for cash.
Marshall was charged by detectives with three counts of third degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, three counts of theft, criminal mischief, theft by false pretense, falsifying business records, and selling stolen property. He was arraigned at JP Court 2 and committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Institution in default of $16,100 secured bail. Police say that more charges are expected.
