In Selbyville, Delaware State Police are investigating a crash where a pedestrian was struck.

According to police, around 7:07 p.m., Saturday January 14, 2017, 78-year-old Walter S. Stolz from Ocean Pines was driving a 2016 Lexus ES 250 southbound on Hudson Road.

We are told, as Stolz was approaching the intersection at Bixler Road 49-year-old Geralynn N. Ober, of Millville was standing in the roadway.

Officials say Ober was speaking with the driver of a separate stopped car in the northbound lane.

Stolz then struck her as she was thrown forward and landed in the grass.

We are told Ober is currently in critical condition and Stolz was not injured in the crash.

Poor weather conditions and an unlit roadway may have been contributing factors.
