Delaware officials release tips ahead of wintry mix

The Delaware Department of Transportation says that they are preparing the state's roads, bridges, and ramps for the anticipated wintry mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet or snow.
In Kent County, officials say a brine has been applied to primary roads, and bridge decks on primary and secondary roads.
In Sussex County, brine has been applied to bridge decks and ramps.
Officials also say Del Dot units are stocked with de-icing materials.
They are reminding people to slow down, stay informed, plan ahead, stay alert, and not to tailgate.
