Celebrating the inauguration in Eastern Shore style

Easton Trump Viewing Party

Across the country millions held watch parties to witness America swear in their 45th president, Donald J. Trump. In Easton many republicans gathered at Ray Grodecki's or Uncle Ray as he's known, to celebrate in Eastern Shore fashion.

Festivities included a 21 gun salute, Trump wine and champagne and an "All-American menu" that included bison , venison, wild goose, oysters and crawdads.

Grodecki said many of the people in attendance helped campaign for Trump during the election season and said that Friday marked a time to celebrate.

One those that celebrated was Karla Spear, who along with others was ecstatic to have Trump officially in office.

"He means what he says and we trust him, we believe in him and we're having a day of celebration," Spear said.

On a different note, Grodecki, who coordinated campaign efforts for Trump all over the Eastern Shore, said he's excited because he believes Trump will look out for small business owners like himself.

"That is really the meat and potatoes of the Donald trump supporters are people that have been successful in the private sector and have had the government coming after them wanting more money from them and it's just not right," Grodecki said.

Another small business owner in attendance, Randy Haddaway, said business for him has already turned up since Trump won the election.

Haddaway said with Trump being a business man himself, he believes Trump will be getting right to work.

"This guy is going to work hard from beginning to end. I don't think he's going to take the weekend off, I don't think he's going to go back to the white house and sit back for two days. I think he's going to immediately go to work," Haddaway said.

Looking forward one thing everyone at the party was excited for was the prospect that Trump could make "America Great Again."
