Bridgeville woman arrested for hitting woman in Harrington parking lot

Police say that a Bridgeville woman has been arrested for assault in Harrington.
According to Harrington Police, officers arrested 30-year-old Rachel Gates of Bridgeville on New Year's Eve for third degree assault and disorderly conduct. Police say while on patrol, they were called to the parking lot of Connections on East Street for a report of assault. When police got there, they contacted the victim who was suffering from minor facial injuries.
Police say investigation found that the victim was seated in a car in the parking lot of Connections when Gates approached the car, opened the door, and began hitting the victim. Gates was still on the scene when police arrived and was taken into custody to the Harrington Police Department for questioning.
She was charged with third degree assault and disorderly conduct, then arraigned via video at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was released on $750 unsecured bond.
