Warriors Drop Close One To Mighty Ducks

Frederick Douglass defeats the Easton Warriors by a score of 51 to 48.

There was a tough match up for the Warriors across the board going up against the Mighty Ducks. Although on paper the Mighty Ducks may appear bigger, paper can't measure heart and that is just what the Warriors always bring. Early on in this one, the Mighty Ducks jumped to a quick lead led by Kevin Evans. Coach Hynson and the Warriors weren't going to let that happen so easily, so coming out of a timeout they went on a little run of their own. Whatever Coach Hynson said in that timeout really got the Warriors going and they took the lead shortly after. Ryan Farr for the Warriors was on fire and no matter what the defense did they couldn't stop him. Later on in the game it was still close and the teams were trading buckets, but the Warriors never could really get the lead. Towards the end Christopher Guy was Easton's go to man as he was penetrating the defense very easily. Sadly for the Warriors, this game came down to mistakes and they just had too many. Easton had a chance to send this one to extra time, but just couldn't get the job done.

Warriors will be back in action on January 3rd facing up against Kent County.
