Voyles nets career-high as Decatur blows out Washington

The Stephen Decatur boys basketball team remained perfect on the season after earning another blowout win, topping Washington 83-49. The win improves the Seahawks to 5-0, while the loss drops the Jaguars to 4-1.

The Seahawks would open the game on a mission, forcing the ball down low to their big man Keve Aluma. The senior would score on a couple short baskets, before the the press would start to turn over the Jaguars, Gary Briddell and Kevon Voyles would get out in transition to add a couple more scores as Decatur wen on a 12-0 run to open the game. Finally shots began to drop for Dorian Stevens who finished with a team high 22, scoring on 4 threes in the first half. Still, Decatur would be up 20 at the break, and kept pushing in the second half. Voyles was able to get to the rim at will as the lead continued to grow, giving the Seahawks their impressive win.

Stephen Decatur returns to work on Wednesday when they travel to play Mardela, while Washington host Pocomoke on Wednesday.
