Voyles’ 19 paces Stephen Decatur to road win at Crisfield

The Stephen Decatur boys basketball team picked up another nice road win Friday when they defeated Crisfield 82-57. The win improves the Seahawks to 4-0, while the loss drops the Crabbers to 3-2.

The Seahawks came out on a mission early on. JaRon Johnson would put in 6 of his 14 points in the first quarter, while Keve Aluma would make his presence felt down low, adding a couple scores as well. Crabbers would be trailing heading into the second, but would finally be able to get their offense going there. Jordan Sterling would be able to work himself to the line for a few easy scores as he led the home team with 15 points. Once he was able to get a few shots to drop, Justin Cohen would be able to find some space to get his shot off as well. But Decatur eventually clamped down defensively and would put this one away Kevon Voyles would have a big second half scoring the ball, pouring in 9 points in the third quarter alone as he helped put the game out of reach.

Stephen Decatur returns to action on Monday when they host Washington while Crisfield host Pocomoke on Monday.
