Tyaskin man arrested after alleged assault

On Thursday, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says they responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in Tyaskin that resulted in an arrest.
According to the report, the deputy went to a home on Mezick Road and found out that a fight had broken out between Jesse Jenkins, 23, of Tyaskin, and three other people inside of the home. The deputy was told that Jenkins was arguing with a woman and another person interceded, trying to protect her from Jenkins. Jenkins then allegedly threw the person shielding the girl to the ground, which led to a third person joining in and trying to restrain Jenkins.
Jenkins and this third subject were then reported to have gotten into a fight, causing injury to the third subject's arm. Both Jenkins and the subject allegedly suffered further injuries as they rolled on the floor together over Legos.
The deputy placed Jenkins under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance where he was charged with assault second degree, the Commissioner detained Jenkins in the Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bond.
