Two arrested in Laurel firearm investigation

Delaware State Police say they have arrested two people in Laurel on Tuesday after finding illegal guns and stolen property in their apartment during a search warrant.

DSP troopers with the Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement team and DSP Special Operations Response Team executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Hollybrook Apartments shortly after 12 PM.

Police arrested Anthony Hood, 48, and Denise Clark, 50.

Troopers found a 9mm revolver, a .556 caliber rifle, a .22 caliber rifle, a BB gun and multiple rounds of ammunition. Stolen flat screen TVs were also recovered.

Police additionally found .285 grams of heroin, .16 grams of crack cocaine and .55 grams of marijuana.

Both Hood and Clark are charged with five counts of possession of a firearm by persons prohibited, second degree conspiracy, receiving stolen property and two counts of controlled substance possession.

Hood is held on $28,600 cash bond and Clark is held on $28,500 cash bond.
