The Lady Warriors fall to the Thomas Stone in the first round of Governors Challenge

In the first game of the tournament for the Lady Warriors, they took on a very good Thomas Stone squad. It was a rough day for Pocomoke, scoring just two points in the first quarter off of a Piajah Johnson lay up making it a 30-2 score in the first quarter.

The Warriors seemed to heat up a little in the second quarter, scoring 15 points to make it 45-17 at half. From there on, it was all Cougars. Thomas Stone went on a tear getting seventeen points from Sasha Francis to help the Cougars get the win 68-27.

The Pocomoke Warriors will take on the Mardela Warriors tomorrow at 1:30 at James M. Bennett High School.
