The Lady Seahawks come up just short in bracket championship

The Stephen Decatur Lady Seahawks looked to take home the bracket championship today at the Civic Center as they took on the Wooton High School Patriots.

The game was close from the beginning as the first quarter score was 7-8 Decatur. At half, the Seahawks led by 4 with help from Amya Mumford who had eight first half points. To begin the second half, the patriots scored eight unanswered points to go up by two. Wooton's Katie Gillick had 13 second half points to help push the Patriots ahead late.

Foul trouble was the downfall for the Seahawks, they committed 9 fouls in the second half alone. The Patriots won the game and the bracket with this 52-41 victory over the Stephen Decatur Seahawks
