Teen dies in Accomack County car crash

In Virginia, state police say they are investigating a single car crash in Accomack County that claimed the life of one teen.
According to Virginia State Police on Friday night around 10:40 PM, a 17-year-old male driver from Parksley was traveling south on Atlantic Road, less than a mile south of Bowden Lane. That's when troopers say he lost control of his car while driving a curve and ran off the road, spun around and hit a tree head-on.
Reports say, three other teens were in the car at the time of the crash. One in the passenger seat and two others in the backseat.
The back seat passenger, 18-year-old Shyasia Davis, of Horntown, reportedly died at the scene. Police say, she was wearing a seatbelt.
A second backseat passenger, a 17-year-old male, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Police say, he was wearing a seatbelt.
Front seat passenger, 18-year-old Krista Everett, was reportedly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police say, she was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Police say, he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Troopers say speed is being investigated as a factor in the crash, which again remains under investigation.
