Suspect arrested for July armed robbery of Salisbury taxi driver

Craig Polk, 17, Salisbury, Md.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says they arrested a suspect last week for his connection to an armed robbery of a taxi driver in Salisbury this past July.

Craig Polk, though 17 years-old, is being charged as an adult with armed robbery, robbery, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, several handgun charges and theft less than $100.

Police say Polk brandished a handgun and forced a taxi driver to hand over money in the early morning hours of July 13, 2016.

Polk was taken to the Wicomico County Detention Center on $50,000 bond, but released on $15,000 bond after a bond review.
