Stevens’ big game lifts Jaguars over Wildcats

The Washington boys basketball team bounced back in a big way Wednesday night when they defeated Delmar 72-44 in the Governor's Challenge.
The Jaguars came out with a chip on their shoulder after losing their first match in the Governor's Challenge and it was showing. They would start the game with a big run and took a lead early on in this game. Dorian Stevens couldn't miss early as he ended the game with four 3-pointers and 27 points. By the end of the first half it was apparent that the Delmar offense was struggling, and the pressure of the Jaguars defense was getting to them. The Wildcats were struggling to get points on the board. In the third quarter, the Wildcats had their best quarter after a few adjustments during halftime. Led by Brooks Parker Delmar started to make this one look interesting after it almost looked out of hand at the end of the first half. The Jaguars weren't going to let the Wildcats take their lead that easy as they had to get back in their right mindset and didn't let Delmar ever get too close. Stevens and the Jaguars went on to win this one big.
