Snow Hill drops back and forth game to Archbishop Curley

The Snow Hill boys basketball team suffered a tough loss Tuesday night when they fell to Archbishop Curley 57-49. The loss sends the Eagles to the loser side of the bracket where they will face off against St. Joes By The Sea.
The Eagles would make a push early on to grab the lead. Snow Hill would stay within striking distance the first half thanks to a couple nice shots around the paint from Ameer Fisher. Trailing by 10 in the second half, the Eagles would finally make their push. Takhai Wise would be able to get inside for a score, while finding DJ Thornton underneath for a few easy baskets as well. The Eagles would go on a 13-3 run to tie the game up after Thornton took a pass on the baseline and laid it home. Back and forth we went from there as the Eagles would answer with 5 straight points the other way to go back out in front. With the game in the balance, Snow Hill would run their offense, but a long ball would be off the mark with Archbishop Curley being able to snare the rebound. Time would run out on the Eagles comeback as they came up just short.
