Snow Hill drops 4th straight, stumble late to St. Joes By The Sea

The Snow Hill boys basketball team dropped their 4th straight ball game Wednesday afternoon when they fell to St. Joes By The Sea 69-60. The Eagles tied the game with two minutes to go, but the Vikings would make a late push to close out the game.
The Eagles would make an early push, led by Takhai Wise. The junior would be able to get to the rim for a few easy scores, while cleaning up a couple missed shots underneath as well. The Vikings would have their answer between Devin Nicholson and Michael Matrangolo who combined for 56 points. The Eagles would hang around throughout the first and and through the third quarter as Ameer Fisher provided some strong scoring of his own, finishing with a team-high 24. DJ Thornton would score a bucket underneath in the 4th quarter to tie the match with just over two minutes remaining. The Eagles though would struggle to take care of the ball late, and the Vikings would take advantage. Nicholson would hit a big go-ahead three, then ice the game at the line down teh stretch.
