Smyrna man arrested after domestic dispute in Harrington

Harrington Police say a Smyrna man was arrested after officers responded to a domestic dispute at Clarks Corner Apartments on Sunday.

Ikeen L. Love, 25, has been charged with first degree burglary, strangulation, third degree assault and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Love reportedly attacked and tried choking the victim in her apartment, all within view of three young children.

Officials say Love fled the scene before police arrived. A Delaware Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement officer spotted Love's car on Park Brown Road near Fox Hunters Road and notified Harrington Police.

The woman's injuries are non-life threatening. Love has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute on $16,000 cash bail.
