Shots fired investigation leads to drug arrests in Dover apartments

Jordan Powell, left, and Jasmine Powell, still wanted, right.

Dover Police say they arrested several people Thursday night when they responded to reports of shots fired at Persimmon Tree Apartments.

Police report they arrived at the apartments around 10:15 PM, finding a bullet hole in the front door of an apartment and a shell casing in the hallway.

Inside the apartment police say they found 25-year-old Jordan Powell and a six-year-old child. Police discovered that 22-year-old Michael Fisher Jr. And 20-year-old Marqueze Harris had also been in the apartment when the shot was fired.

Fisher and Harris reportedly jumped out of a window when the shot was fired, injuring themselves in the fall. Both were admitted to Kent General Hospital.

Police say they saw marijuana in plain sight within the apartment and were able to obtain a search warrant.

In the search, detectives reportedly found 127 grams of marijuana, $2,081 in cash, a digital scale and a vacuum sealer used for packaging marijuana in a bedroom belonging to Jasmine Powell.

Police believe the shooting was drug related.

Jordan Powell, Michael Fisher Jr. and Marqueze Harris are being charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, second degree conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a cild.

Jasmine Powell is wanted on those same charges.
