Short-handed Wi-Hi rolls past Delmar

The Wi-Hi boys basketball team picked up a non-conference win Wednesday night when they defeated Delmar 63-29. The win improves the Indians to 4-3, while the loss drops the Wildcats to 0-6.

The Indians would have their way early, despite missing three of their starters. Jaden Baker would be able to get to the rim for a couple scores, while Johnny Taylor would also be able to put in a couple shots. Keshawn Marshall then would his groove, connecting on three 3's in the first quarter alone. The lead quickly grew to double digits before the 'Cats finally got going. Brooks Parker would score a couple put backs on the block to get it started before Zach Covington would be able to add a couple baskets himself. But Wi-Hi continued to push. Matt Lowe would show off his versatility, scoring a couple shots from the elbow before adding an and one in transition. The Tribe would then ride their defense to the win.

Wi-Hi returns to action on January 3rd when they host Mardela, while Delmar faces Walkersville on Tuesday in the Governor's Challenge.
