Selbyville man stabs woman after she rejects proposition

Delaware State Police arrested a Selbyville man after they say he stabbed a woman Monday afternoon west of Selbyville.
Shortly after 3 PM, troopers responded to a stabbing in the area of Baker Road and Blueberry Farm Road. Selbyville, Frankford and Dagsboro Police Departments were all alerted to be on the lookout for a male suspect in a tan Suzuki SUV with Delaware plates.
Within 20 minutes police found the SUV on U.S. Route 113 in Frankford and arrested 30-year-old Temourise O. Taylor.
Police say that the 36-year-old woman initially came to Taylor's house to drop off Christmas presents. During her visit, Taylor reportedly demanded sex from the woman, which she rejected.
Taylor reportedly then drove the victim in the Suzuki SUV to a secluded area west of Selbyville, where he stopped and parked. The woman got out of the SUV and started walking away, but police report Taylor chased her on foot and grabbed her by her shirt. As the woman tried to fight him to get free, police say Taylor started stabbing her upper body.
The woman broke free from Taylor and ran to a truck along the road for help; the truck's driver reportedly witnessed the stabbing and called 911. Taylor then fled the scene in the Suzuki SUV.
The woman was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.
